Plateau located southwest of the old walled city of Quebec , Canada.
On September 13, 1759, it was the scene of the decisive battle of the French and Indian War , in which the British under James Wolfe defeated the French under the Marquis de Montcalm . U.S. forces held the plateau (177576) in their siege of Quebec during the American Revolution . It is now a park within Quebec city limits.
